Indian singer Gippy Grewal while praising the beauty of Islamabad said, “Islamabad feels like Canada, adding, “It is a very beautiful and well-planned city.”
Gippy Grewal had come to Pakistan to visit the holy shrine Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur.
Speaking to foreign media organisations, Gippy Grewal said, “Looking at the roads and the city’s beauty, I felt like I was in Canada.”
Commenting on the maintained roads of Islamabad, he said, “The motorway was well maintained and the roads were so well carpeted,” adding, “the cars were running at such a fast pace with no obstructions in their way.”
He was pleasantly surprised to see such hygienic conditions and the impressive infrastructure around him. The sights of the city impressed Grewal so much that he wondered whether it was Pakistan or any other country.
The Indian singer said that there were “well constructed” washrooms as soon as one got off the motorway to arrive at the shrine.
The singer said he didn’t see “any garbage on the motorway and that there were no animals or children running around.”
