Interior Minister Ijaz Shah has confirmed that former Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Ehsanullah Ehsan has escaped from the custody of Pakistan security agencies.
In an informal conversation with journalists in Parliament House, Ijaz admitted that the news of the Ehsanullah Ehsan’s escape was true. He also admitted that the government was aware of the escape.
Responding to a question that whether the government was taking any action in response to the escape, he said, “A lot is happening; everyone will hear good news soon.”
He didn’t provide any further details about the escape. This was the first time the government officially acknowledged the escape.
Earlier in February, Ehsanullah Ehsan announced on social media that he has escaped from the custody of Pakistan security agencies.
