Pakistan and Turkey – Two Islamic Countries with lot of differences

Pakistan and Turkey are recognized as the two most powerful Muslim states in the world. Pakistan and Turkey have supported each other over the years and the friendship between the two countries is historic. These relations have been traditionally strong, with both nations maintaining extensive cultural, commercial, strategic and military cooperation. Both Turkey and Pakistan are Muslim-majority states and share extensive cultural and geopolitical links.
However, both the countries differ in many terms as Turkey under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has become a powerful state. Achievements of Turkey over the past 20 years are incredible. The people love him so much that they do not refrain from sacrificing their lives for him. On the other hand, Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan is struggling to stabilize the country and facing various problems.
Erdogan and Turkey Achievements
Recep Tayyip Erdogan is the 12th and the current president of Turkey. He has served as the Prime Minister of Turkey from 2003 to 2014 and as Mayor of Istanbul from 1994 to 1998.
Erdogan is considered as a polarizing figure and has improved the Turkish economy and introduced political reforms. Under the leadership of Erdogan , amendments in the tax system was done to promote investment in Turkey and for economic development and to increase employment. After that, a new era of development has begun in Turkey. He eliminated unemployment form the country.
After the Turkish president came to power, he raised the literacy rate up to 90 percent. He has controlled inflation and has reduced the gap between the rich and the poor.
In 2008, Erdogan rejected a proposal to borrow $35 billion from the IMF and avoided a new standby agreement. On the contrary, he paved the way for a great investment move. And now you see Turkey’s current situation.
Ninety percent of Turkey’s people have now reached a satisfactory standard of living and the people are prosperous.
On July 15 2016, Turkey witnessed the bloodiest coup attempt in its political history when the Turkish military launched an operation to topple the government and unseat President Erdogan. Thousands of ordinary citizens gathered in streets to oppose the coup. They defeated the coup attempt in a matter of hours and the government declared victory and scores of troops that had taken part in the coup surrendered on the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul. This becomes the biggest achievement of Erdogan as the people sacrificed their lives for the love of democracy and Erdogan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan
Cricketer-turned-Politician, Prime Minister Imran Khan assumed the PM’s office in 2018 after a struggle of 22 years.
Prime Minister Imran Khan no doubt is emerging as one of the influential Muslim leaders in the world. Simultaneously, it cannot be denied that Pakistan is currently facing various economic issues. Pakistan’s debt has reached record levels and inflation has also reached its peak in history. Currently, Pakistan is indebted to the IMF, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the United States, and other world powers.
In PM Imran’s ongoing tenure, prices of every single item including gold, essential commodities, electricity, gas, petroleum products, have all been increased.  The cost of education clothing and health has also been increased.
There is no doubt in PM Imran’s good faith, but the need is to focus on improving the situation of the country’s largest population, which consists of the poor and the poor people.
In Pakistan, the army has taken over the government several times through which the country faced an economic crisis.
What to Do?
One of the major thing is that President Erdogan is ruling Turkey for almost 18 years and PM Imran became Prime Minister in 2018 which clearly shows the difference. However, by following Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Imran Khan will have to get rid of the debt curse, increase literacy, and eliminate unemployment, poverty, and inflation. Through this Pakistan will gain the position that Turkey currently has in the world.
