ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly denied the rumours of replacing the incumbent Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and Governor State Bank of Pakistan.
According to details, speaking at the meeting of government’s spokespersons, PM Imran said that the government has no plans to remove Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and Reza Baqir, adding both of them were performing their duties well.
At the occasion, the prime minister also devised a strategy against inflation and directed the finance ministry to accelerate the implementations of key decisions.
It is worth mentioning here that Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and his team are currently in talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for releasing the third tranche of $6 billion bailout package.
