BEIJING: Chineses authorities have introduced a new mobile app known as ‘close contact detector’ amid to check the existence of novel coronavirus in people.
According to details, through close contact detector, users can scan a QR code in mobile apps like Alipay, WeChat or QQ to make an inquiry about novel coronavirus.
After legal formalities to registering a phone number, users require to enter their name and password to know whether they were in close contact with anyone infected.
Those who have been in close contact are advised to stay at home by adopting precautionary measures and remain in touch with local health officials.
The close contact detector was introduced by the General Office of the State Council, the National Health Commission and China Electronics Technology Group Corporations (CETC).
National Health Commission stated close contact refers to someone who has come in close distance, with no effective protection, with confirmed cases, suspected cases or mild cases while the person was ill or showed asymptomatic cases in the following conditions.
people who work closely together, share the same classroom or live in the same house; medical staff, family members or other people who have been in close contact with patients in a closed environment and other patients in the same room and their caregivers; as well as travelers and crew teams who have been in the same transportation facility.
