ISLAMABAD: Improvement in Pakistan’s security environment has been acknowledged by the US State Department.
As steps in the right direction, Pakistan has described the update in US Travel Advisory, acknowledging improvement in Pakistan’s security situation.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui, Pakistan has made resolute efforts to enhance security throughout the country.
The statement stated major improvement in the security environment has led the United Nations to re-designate Islamabad as a family station for its personnel.
The spokesperson’s statement further said the United Kingdom, while acknowledging the steps taken by Pakistan, has also revised its Travel Advisory.
“Pakistan’s liberal visa regime and helpful environment for tourism, we are confident that a larger number of tourists from all over the world would be traveling to Pakistan”.
It further stated that the improved security situation also provides opportunities for the improved economic situation and foreign direct investment in the country.
