ISLAMABAD: Family members of Pakistani students stranded in Wuhan city of China staged a protest in Islamabad and demanded to evacuate their dear ones as their lives are in danger due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
According to details, a large number of family members and members of civil society participated in the protest.
At the occasion, the protesters said that other countries have evacuated their nationals from China, adding that the government of Pakistan was not taking any steps to evacuate their nationals.
The protesters further stated that the students stranded in China are facing a shortage of foods and other essential products and the government of Pakistan was not providing any facilities to the students.
The protesters appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chief Justice of Pakistan to take steps for evacuating their beloved ones from China.
