KARACHI: Sindh government has established isolation wards at three major hospitals in the metropolis on Friday.
According to Sindh health department officials, on the instruction of provincial government three isolation wards at Civil Hospital Karachi, Aga Khan Hospital and DOW University’s Ojha campus have been established.
It further stated that the steps were taken as a precautionary measure against the possible spread of coronavirus, adding Pakistan also got kits and other related equipment to detect the virus.
They further said, “Not a single case of coronavirus has been reported in Sindh province”.

Earlier in the day, a Pakistani student who had recently arrived in Karachi from virus-hit Wuhan had been shifted to a private hospital’s isolation ward due to coronavirus threat.
According to the provincial health department, Arsalan would be kept in an isolation ward of the hospital for at least fourteen days, Samples drawn from the student were sent to the National Institution of Health for testing.

It is worth to mention here that around 30,000 Pakistani students, enrolled at various Chinese academic institutions, are currently present in China.
