LAHORE: The administration of the Lahore Museum has increased the entry ticket rate by 50 percent on Friday.
According to the Lahore Museum sources, adult citizens will pay Rs 50 each while children and students will pay Rs 20 each. Foreigners will pay Rs 1,000 each, while Rs 10,000 will be charged for a professional and commercial photoshoot in the museum.
The Museum entry fee has been increased after nine years with the approval of the Punjab government, sources added. It is worth to mention here, Lahore Museum’s majestic red-brick building blends the old tradition of Mughal architecture. It stands out among the structures built in Lahore during the British period (1849-1947).
This building is home to the country’s largest and oldest collection of historical, cultural and artistic objects. Its collections of Gandhara sculpture, miniature paintings, rare manuscripts and old coins are known throughout the world.
