PUNJAB: Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Punjab disclosed that 47,120 cases of dengue were reported across the country in 2019, while efforts were afoot to eliminate this menace entirely from the country.
Talking to media, the secretary informed that in Rawalpindi 6659 dengue cases were reported while 10 dengue experts were appointed in Rawalpindi to control this menace.
He further said that 32 entomologists were selected while 3000 staff in other districts of the province appointed besides 3500 doctors and nurses performed duty only for dengue patients across the Punjab province.
He said that Pakistan’s government acts the instructions of foreign dengue experts to wipe out this hazard from the country.
