ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said rain increased cold around the country while rain is likely to lash in upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on the other hand snowfall is expected in mountain areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the meteorological department forecast, the weather will remain dry and cold while it is expected that fog will blanket plain areas of Punjab and upper areas of Sindh at night and morning.
Director National Weather Forecasting Centre at Pakistan Metrological Department Khalid Malik said the cold temperature across Pakistan will remain low throughout the current month.
he said two more spells of rains are predictable in the mid and towards the end of this month. He said heavy snowfall is also expected during the months, which will also increase the cold temperature across the country.
