KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Vice President and the parliamentary party leader in Sindh assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that all political parties are one page as there is no compromise on national security.
Addressing a press conference outside Sindh Assembly here Tuesday, he said that we congratulate the Prime Minister, Army Chief, and all political parties including opposition on the passing of the Army Act. He said we all on the same page including our armed forces, government, opposition and Pakistani masses when it is the matter of our national security.
He said in December last, Maulana was saying something about January, now would he like to comment on what is going to happen in this month. He said if the government of Sindh wants to do something for the welfare of people it should come forward and we will support it.
He said we are elected representatives and it is our duty to speak on the real issues of masses. He said we will fully support if the government of Sindh comes forward with some positive lawmaking to bring visible improvement in the lives of the poor people of this province.
He said on the national issues all political parties were united. He said we see betterment in the behavior of the Sindh government and we are ready to support it on public issues.
Haleem Adil said ongoing tension between the US and Iran is very dangerous and if it is not stopped urgently it may spread like the jungle fire of Australia. He said these issues should be resolved with a dialogue process. He said the matters of security we fully support our armed forces.
On the issue of Kashmir and tension in India, he said Indian channels today should see the unity of Pakistani masses with their armed forces. He said Modi should also see this unity with his own eyes.
He said recently we arranged a rally from Hyderabad to Khokhrapar border which was largely attended by the Hindu community living in Sindh. He said we also visited Hindu temples and talked to their leaders who said they were happy and safe in Pakistan.
He said all religious minorities living in Pakistan are patriotic and they are ready to lay sacrifices for the sake of the nation and country. PTI MPAs Malik Shahzad, Dr Saeed Afridi and others were also present.
