ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue has collected Rs2080 billion in revenue in a major achievement over the past six months.
In a tweet Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Syed Shabbar Zaidi said, “FBR has collected Rs 2080 billion by this time for the half-year ended December 31, 2019. This is 16 percent higher over the last year for the same period.

Earlier on December 18, the FBR chairman had said that tax collection body is committed to curb the under-invoicing of imports “to save the local industry”
In a post on Twitter, Shabbar Zaidi said, “FBR is seriously working to curb under-invoicing of imports. The valuation system and processes are being improved.”

He further said, “Nevertheless, FBR seeks the support of business community including Chambers of Commerce on this matter. This issue is highly important to save the local industry.”
