CHITRAL: On the request of local people Syed Ibrahim Peerzada once again establishing a technical college for Diploma in Information technology in Chwench area of upper Chitral, which will be affiliated with board of Technical Education Peshawar.
The purpose of IT-based education is to overcome the joblessness and creation of job opportunities for both young girls and boys in the area. Chwench area of upper Chitral has known the most backward rural area where there is no college, no hospital or any other facilities.
There was an English medium private school which had been launched by Shahzada Ibrahim Peerzada in 1994, unfortunately, the same was also closed after a few years and a large number of students were deprived from education.
Hence those rich ones who can afford hostel charges were sent to Chitral town or other cities for education but the poor were deprived. The building of that private school was lying vacant for long. In this connection, A grand Educational parents’ meeting was held at Chuinj.
Shahzada Ibrahim a pioneer school member highlighted the achievements and issues faced by the community in the area and needs up-gradation in the school.
The international Public School Chuinj is a community based organized a parents’ meeting to launch for the first time computer-based education in school for preprimary as well as a diploma in information technology classes for the upcoming years.
The meeting was chaired by Rehmat Aziz (retired) headmaster and he stressed practical education and skill development to face the issues and challenges years ahead.
Muhammad Faiz was the chief guest on the occasion he appreciated Shah for his commitments to the school and emphasized on technical education on long term services to the community.
Shah appreciated the services of a Trust contribution for many Schools and colleges of Chitral and hope of future cooperation and coordination to the School, particularly in the IT sector.
Elites of the area also expressed their views on the occasion and they stressed parents must enroll their children in this IT-based college. A large number of people belonging to all walks of life attended the meeting and hailed the contribution of Ibrahim Peerzada for launching this DIT college in remote areas of Chwench.
