ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has decided to augment incentives for its academicians to support and inspire them to embark on applied market-oriented and innovative research.
While addressing a seminar held here on Wednesday a proposal to in this effect was adopted by the University’s Executive Council on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor.
The University’s academicians and researchers of different departments presented at the seminar and discussed the application process and evaluation of National Research Programs for Universities (NRPU).
Addressing the senior officials of the Higher Education Commission briefed the participants about the process of undertaking research-based projects and eligibility criteria for winning research grants. The University’s academicians and researchers appreciated the university to provide such facilities.
