QUETTA: The teachers, employees, and students of the Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences in Quetta on held a demonstration for the last five days for their rights.
The protesters have asked for the university administration to revise the BMC act to guard their rights. They have set up protest camps outside the university.
The participants alleged after amending the law passed in 2017 the Bolan University’s administration plundered rights from teachers, students and staff, adding that the University administration should restore the previous status of the university.
They have even asked for the mess grant and district quota system to be restored at the university to provide equal rights for deserved.
They said that anger among students, teachers and employees was simmering for a long time and the current anti-employees policies of the administration had added fuel to the fire and students, employees were compelled to take to streets to get their voices heard.
The protesters have threaded to extend stage demonstrations at the press club, provincial assembly, and the chief minister and governor houses if their demands aren’t addressed.
