KARACHI: Insider story of businessmen and industrialists meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan revealed that PM has assigned the task to Governor Sindh Imran Ismail for taking concrete steps to resolve the issue of the business community.
During a meeting on Friday, a business community delegation complained that Karachi industries were ruined due to Sui Southern Gas Administration, alleging that the government’s economic team failed to take concrete steps to address the traders’ issues.
Traders demanded of the Prime Minister to issued directives for further improvement in the tax system. On this occasion, Chairman FBR Shabar Zaidi said FBR officers adopt a strategy to reduce interference in collecting tax, adding that an impressive tax payment system has been devised at retailers level.
Listening to the complaints of the business community and industrialists, Prime Minister Imran Khan assured and assigned the task to Governor Sindh Imran Ismail for taking steps to resolve issues faced by the business community on prior bases.
Earlier, during his visit to Karachi Prime Minister Imran Khan said promotion of economic activities and bringing people out of poverty was its government’s topmost agenda.
While addressing an award distributing ceremony hosted by Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), PM Imran said that bringing Pakistan to the list of top most prosperous countries was the vision of the PTI government.
He said that the economic team of his government keen to resolve the economic issues and efforts with State Bank of Pakistan Governor Dr Reza Baqir and his adviser on commerce, textiles, industries, and investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, and talked about measures that would help all businesses.
