ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court disposes of a review petition filed by former premier Nawaz Sharif in the video scandal case.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa heard the petition.
During the hearing, the top judge remarked that whatever had been pleaded for review in the petition, the Supreme court had already agreed to that.
Addressing the counsel for Nawaz Sharif, Khawaja Haris, in the SC during the hearing today, Justice Khosa said that there was no room for our interference and intervention in the case as the matter stays with the Islamabad High Court, government and the FIA.

The counsel of the former prime minister, Khawaja Haris argued that he had come to the court for some reason.
To this, the CJP responded, “Whatever you are asking for, we have already given you.”
The top judge of SC while wrapping up the petition, remarked that the detailed verdict in the case would be pronounced later.
On 7th October, Advocate Khawaja Haris on behalf of Nawaz Sharif submitted the plea in the SC. contending that the decision had affected the privilege of the petitioner.

In the petition, Nawaz Sharif has sought a review of the 23rd August verdict by the top court regarding a video scandal involving former accountability court judge Mohammad Arshad Malik.
The video being shared by the Sharif family in court argues that former judge Arshad Malik was pressured into giving a verdict against Nawaz in the Al Aziziya reference.
Judge Arshad Malik, who sentenced Nawaz Sharif to jail, had denied the allegations that the judge was blackmailed into convicting Nawaz without any evidence.
