KARACHI: A recent visit by German Counsel General Eugene Wollferth to Kalat, Balouchistan has attracted many foreign diplomats to the province.
Eminent Balouch leaders and tribal Sardars like Prince Faisal Daud, Son of Late Khan of Kalat H.H Khan Mohammed Daud Khan accompanied German CG Eugene Wollferth at Kalat, where he stayed for a day.
On his visit, German dignitary visited historical sites of Kalat and was also introduced to the representatives of different tribes. He visited to the nearby areas and mountains with the prospect of looking into agricultural, mining and tourism opportunities in the future.
Prince Faisal Daud brought to the knowledge of his Excellency, the need for the establishment of health clinics, mother and childcare centers, blood banks on high ways, and better veterinarian facilities in the region. Faisal Daud briefed the consul general about the improved security situation in the province, saying just his visit and stay was proof of it.
Eugene Wollferth expressed his joy and gratitude explicitly regarding his visit and the fruitful time spent in Kalat. He was greatly amused at the rich and historical background. Furthermore, he expressed great interest in the social development of the area and the promotion of Balochistan’s cultural heritage.
