ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s representative to United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi said that Pakistan will work to maintain peace and stability in the region.
According to sources, while participating in the debate on the ongoin situation in the Middle East, she said that Pakistan reaffirms commitment to bring stability in the region.

Regarding the need for reconciliation in the gulf region, Maleeha Lodhi added that incumbment Premier Imran Khan has been organizing meetings between the leaderships of Iran and Saudia Arabia to create harmony and unity amongst Muslim community.
Pakistan’s representative to United Nations (UN) also mentioned that any framework to bring peace should be finalized on the basis of mutual respect.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif expressed gratitude in a tweet where he lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan for his contribution and determination to bring peace and stability in the gulf region.
On the other hand, the Saudi leadership also applauded endeavors of Prime Minister Imran Khan to diminish tensions and to promote peace and stability in the gulf region.
