KARACHI: Around 247 new dengue cases reported in the last 24 hours in Karachi.
Sources said that the number of dengue cases has reached to 5,000. There are 5,137 cases were reported in the metropolis and total 5,490 in Sindh.
At least 22 people have lost their lives due to outbreak of the disease in Karachi in the following year.

Earlier, Dengue virus claimed a woman’s life in Sindh’s capital. Three persons of the same family were admitted to the private hospital of Karachi after being diagnosed with Dengue fever.

The two persons were still under treatment in the hospital, while a woman died of mosquito-borne disease.
The anti-dengue cell on Saturday prepared a detailed report on the country-wide situation of the viral infection which estimated the cases up to 28,525.
