ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the entire Pakistani nation is standing behind the people of Kashmir in their just struggle for right to self-determination.
In a recorded video message on the occasion of Black Day, the prime minister reassured the Kashmiri people was their advocate and their spokesperson supporting their struggle.
He said he highlighted the Kashmir issue in his speech at the United Nations and during interactions with world leaders. He said the international community is now aware of the oppression going on in held Kashmir at the hands of Indian forces.
He said that the United Nations had already recognised their right of self-determination and that he would continue his struggle until Kashmiris get their rights.
PM Khan said Indian Prime Minister Narndera Modi, after coming to power for second term, imposed curfew in Occupied Kashmir, and has changed the region’s status by claiming that he wants development there. He challenged Modi to hold a referendum if he wants peace, stability, and development in Kashmir.

He said India is looking for such an opportunity to crush the freedom struggle of Kashmiris as New Delhi rulers have deployed 900,000 troops to subjugate the voice of Kashmiris.
He said that the Modi government wants to hold Pakistan responsible for unrest in Kashmir to deflect attention of the world community from the bloodbath continuing in the valley.
Imran Khan said all the mainstream political parties of Kashmir boycotted the recently held local government polls in Occupied Kashmir. He said the ruling BJP met a humiliated defeat even in controlled elections there.
PM Khan made it clear that anybody considering crossing the Line of Control for ‘jihad’ are the real enemies of Kashmir and Pakistan.
Imran Khan said the Kashmir movement is a political struggle and we have to extend our moral, diplomatic and political support in this regard.
He assured to advocate supporting their struggle till they achieve their right to self-determination as enshrined in the UN resolutions.
