ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has met the Afghan Taliban delegation in the federal capital on Thursday.
According to details, the two sides discussed issues related to regional peace and stability.
The prime minister apprised Taliban delegation on his conversation with the United States President Donald Trump regarding the resumption of peace talks.
The prime minister said that peace in Afghanistan is crucial for regional stability and Pakistan would continue to provide its support for the resumption of the Afghan peace process.

Earlier on Thursday, the delegation met Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and both agreed on the importance of early revival of the halted Afghan peace process.
The foreign minister stated that Pakistan would continue to play a significant role in the resumption of the Afghan peace process. He added that the revival of the peace process is highly important for regional peace and security.
Earlier in September, the US and Taliban were close to a deal when President Donald Trump suddenly called off a meeting with representatives of the insurgent group and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani at Camp David.
Trump ended the negotiating process that Khalilzad had been running for a year over a Taliban attack in Kabul that left 12 people, including a US soldier, dead.
