RAWALPINDI: A major and a sepoy of the Pakistan Army were martyred in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion near the Pak-Afghan border in Mohmand tribal district on Friday.
Director-General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor on Twitter said that the incident took place in the Mohmand district near the border with Afghanistan, where Major Adeel was supervising fencing work.

General Asif Ghafoor said that Major Adeel Shahid and Sepoy Faraz Hussain fell victim to an IED planted by terrorists from across the border.

The attack occurred at a time when the Army personnel were supervising fencing work in the area a critical infiltration route used by terrorists from Afghanistan.
Four Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred in two separate attacks in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s areas bordering Afghanistan last week.
