ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has summoned Senator Shehzad Waseem over a letter against alleged torture perpetrated on PTI leader and Senator Azam Swati. The PTI senators including Leader of Opposition in the Senate Shahzad Wasim had written a letter to the Chief Justice on October 17 detailing the alleged torture of Senator Azam Swati after stripping him naked.

Supreme Court has summoned Director General Human Rights Cell Senator Shahzad Waseem on Monday at 10 am.
The SC had asked DG Human Rights Cell Senator Shehzad Wasim to present his position regarding the information collected about torture on Azam Swati.
On October 17, it may be recalled, PTI senators, including the leader of the opposition in the Senate, Senator Shehzad Waseem, wrote a letter to the Chief Justice, disclosing details about torture on Senator Azam Swati by stripping him naked. The letter also requested the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of the incident.
