Disturbing revelations have surfaced in the police investigation report concerning a suspect accused of sexually assaulting numerous underage girls in Karachi’s Qayyumabad area.
According to official reports, the suspect arrived in Karachi from Abbottabad in 2011 and is alleged to have been involved in the sexual abuse of minors since 2016.
Investigations reveal that in 2016, the individual settled in the Qayyumabad area and began operating a sherbet stall. Authorities state that the suspect targeted children between the ages of 5 and 12, reportedly enticing them to his residence with promises of rewards, Dawn reported on Friday.
The suspect was apprehended yesterday in Qayyumabad. Today, the Judicial Magistrate South granted police a five-day physical remand for further investigation. Law enforcement officials also confirmed the recovery of video evidence from the suspect’s mobile device.
The police had said that the accused had confessed to sexually abusing minor girls and boys over the past 10 years and making videos of them on his mobile phone.
The senior officer had said that the police had recovered a mobile phone from his possession which contained hundreds of videos of rape/sexual abuse of minor girls aged 8 to 12 years in his room.
During interrogation, the accused had confessed that he used to entertain hundreds of minor girls by paying a few hundred rupees, he also admitted that he used to bring young girls to his room where he lived alone and sexually abused about 100 minor girls in his room in C-Area of Qayyumabad and filmed all of them.
Syed Asad Raza said that the police have recovered a USB and a mobile phone from the possession of the accused which contains many such videos. The videos found on the mobile phone have also been sent for forensics.
