ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched Ehsaas Kifalat Programme aimed for uplifting the standard of livings of the deserving people.
Addressing the ceremony, PM Imran said that the government was taking measure steps to provide relief to its deserving citizens, adding that no country has ever progressed who had served their elite community.
PM Imran said that over 800,000 undeserving people had been expelled from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), adding that the transparent system adopted for the programme will provide assistance to the needy people.
The premier explained that the funds will be given to the registered persons through a biometric system which will end the corruption of money, adding that deserving women will be given smartphones by the government.
He stated that another project is lined up under the Ehsaas programme in which poor women will be provided farm animals.
The premier further said that the incumbent government has so far distributed health cards among 6 million families, adding that the government was trying to launch best projects for the youth under Hunarmand programme.
He said that it was the government responsibility to work for the weak segment of the society.
Under the Kiflalat programme, a cash assistance of Rs 2,000 per month will be paid to the deserving women across the country.
