ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan was hopeful that Turkey would become a part of the CPEC project.
Talking to a Turkish television channel, PM Imran said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would visit Pakistan next month along with investors.
PM Imran said that Pakistan was committed to improving ties with Turkey in all spheres.
PM Imran said that in the early days of the government they faced current account deficit, adding that effective measures were taken to stabilize the economy.
Commenting on the Kashmir issue, PM Imran said that India’s August 5 decision to annex occupied territory was against the UN resolutions.
He applauded Turkey’s support for the Kashmir issue and said that India was ruled by a fascist ideology of far-right RSS.
Referring to coronavirus, PM Imran said, “Pakistan stands with China in this difficult time.”
