RAWALPINDI: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has said that the medical supplies have been dispatched to Quetta on orders of Chief of the Army Staff (COAS).
According to ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar, “Emergency supplies of medical equipment including the Personal protective equipment (PPE) is being despatched to Quetta on orders of COAS to help medical staff fight COVID-19 effectively in Balochistan.” He termed the doctors and paramedics staff as the frontline soldiers in this war being fought against the disease.

In another tweet, he wrote that most advanced nations and governments are finding it extremely difficult to fight this pandemic. He added, “Pakistan government is striving hard to acquire and supply the required resources. In this hour of distress, we must remain patient and steadfast.”
According to the ISPR, the Army Chief wishes that the medical staff in Balochistan should be able to do their job effectively while the doctors and para-medical staff who are fighting against the coronavirus are our militaries.
Earlier in Quetta, the police launched a baton charge against the young doctors who were protesting over the unavailability of the safety kits. At least 31 COVID-19 patients 19 have recoved in Balochistan and discharged from hospital.
