ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured that the government will provide all possible cooperation for promotion of science and technology.
According to a press release issued by PM’s office, PM Imran was chairing a meeting in Islamabad today (Monday).
Federal Minister for science and technology, Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Minister for Narcotics Control Sheheryar Afridi Chairman Board of Investment Syed Zubair Gilani and other personalities were present in the meeting.
Fawad Chaudhry briefed PM Imran over various proposals and steps to increase production of technological items and their export.
The minister apprised PM Imran that the ministry has identified 252 products in chemicals, biotechnology, machinery, textile, base metals, plastic and others in which foreign reserves could be earned at the international level.
The minister highlighted certain proposals over high-tech industrial development, national capacity, and future strategy.
Fawad Chaudhry further briefed on the progress of establishment of Jhelum Industrial biotechnology park and other related issues.
He also mentioned that the Ministry had also retrieved 25 acres of land worth billions of rupees belonging to Pakistan Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) in Lahore.
PM Imran lauded the efforts of ministry of science and technology for retrieving precious government property.
