WASHINGTON: Around the world, the coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 408,734 people and infected over 7,198,636.
According to the latest data, 3,536,154 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far. The United States has been the hardest-hit country, with 2,026,493 cases and 113,055 deaths.
Brazil now has the second-highest number of recorded infections in the world with 710,887 cases and 37,312 fatalities with 1,269 deaths in a 24 hour period.
Over 476,658 people have infected while 5,971 people died of the virus in Russia. The country has the third-highest number of recorded infections in the world.
Spain has recorded 27,136 fatalities and 288,797 infections. The United Kingdom has reported 40,597 fatalities and 287,399 infections.
India has reported 265,928 cases while 7,473 deaths due to the coronavirus. Italy has 33,964 fatalities, while 235,278 infections.
Germany has reported 8,783 deaths and 186,205 infections. Meanwhile, the death toll is 8,351 in Iran as the confirmed number of cases is almost 173,832.
Turkey reported 171,121 coronavirus cases and 4,711 fatalities. France has reported 29,209 deaths, and 154,188 cases.
China has to date declared 4,634 deaths and 83,040 cases, with 78,341 recoveries. In Belgium, 9,606 people succumbed to the disease while reported 59,348 cases due to the coronavirus.
Mexico has reported 14,053 deaths and 120,102 cases. Canada reported 7,835 fatalities and 96,244 infections due to coronavirus.
Israel has reported 18,032 coronavirus cases while 298 deaths. Saudi Arabia has reported 105,283 cases of coronavirus, while 746 coronavirus deaths have been reported.
