ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Khawaja Asif has said that people were unable to get sugar and flour because of the incumbent government.
While addressing at the National Assembly, Khawaja Asif said that the members of the incumbent government owned 45 percent of sugar mills.
Asif demanded that a committee comprising of parliamentarians should be formed in this regard.
Asif also questioned that who was making a profit of billions of rupees by hiking sugar prices when sugar mills of Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif were shut down.

Moreover, the Lahore High Court today extended the hearing of wheat and sugar stocks in Punjab till 13th February.
LHC Chief Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh conducted the hearing in which the judge heard the petition against the case.
The petitioner stated that the wheat flour and sugar were available in quantity more. it was due to the mafia that created an artificial crisis. He pleaded to the court to impose a ban over the export of the wheat and crackdown against the mafia involved in the wheat and sugar shortage.
