ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today (Thursday).
According to details, both the personalities discussed the rising number of coronavirus cases in Punjab and steps taken by the provincial government to tackle the virus.
They discussed different steps to control hoarding and facilitate people during the holy month of Ramazan. They also agreed upon ensuring preventive measures at the industries allowed to operate in the province during the holy month.
Later, Members of the National Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmed and Faizullah Kamoka also called on PM Imran and discussed matters related to mutual interest.
Meanwhile, the health department Punjab has reported new 116 coronavirus infections, raising the provincial tally to 4706.
In this regard, the spokesman said, “So far, the virus has claimed lives of almost 60 while 905 patients recovered from it,” adding that the health department has conducted 66030 tests in the province.
Earlier today, Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid has said that almost 65 patients have recovered from the coronavirus. The patients were received the required treatment at Mayo Hospital, Expo Centre Field Hospital, PKLI and Children’s Hospital.
