KARACHI: Former Director General (DG) of Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has reportedly approved to issue an extra month salary to finance department officials illegally.
A senior KDA official told MM News TV that the budget department’s job is to prepare the budget and they receive a regular monthly salary. “It is illegal to issue an extra salary to the budget department officials,” he added.
Meanwhile, Assistant Secretary Muhammad Zubair, with the alleged patronage of former director general, has completed preparations to reward other officers of the Finance Department in addition to the seven employees of the budget.
In this regard, Assistant Secretary Muhammad Zubair has allegedly received a huge bribe from the finance department officials in order to approve an extra month from the former director general.
Earlier in September, it was revealed that two officers allegedly rejected by the Engineering Council of Pakistan were illegally posted in the Engineering Department of Karachi Development Authority (KDA).
Sources prior to the development informed that KDA Engineering Department Director Mehboob Alam had allegedly patronized the posting of Abdul Manan and Tariq Rafi in the department.
