KARACHI: The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) of the Sindh police claimed to have arrested five kidnappers allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a boy in Karachi.
According to details, the Anti-Violence Crime Cell has arrested five kidnappers who abducted an 8-year-old boy from Ghulam Muhammad Goth area of Karachi on September 25.
Sources said after receiving information about the incident, Steel Town police took action and recovered the child by arresting three accused on the same day.
The case was later transferred to AVLC as it was a case of kidnapping, sources added. Two more kidnappers have been arrested today on the information getting from the arrested. 8-year-old Fayyaz was abducted by the accused with the intention of getting ransom.
The accused include Nawaz Hussain, Shabbir, Nazar Abbas and Ashiq Hussain. A case has been registered against the arrested accused under the kidnapping act. The accused are under investigation, police said.
The child kidnapping issue was highlighted in Punjab at first but now such rumours are at their peak in Karachi too.
Parents are worried about their children due to these rumours. These rumours have been circulating for over 24 hours in the city and the mothers are extremely worried about their children.
There is an air of terror in the city after these rumours and the people believe that the police needed to take steps in order to tackle the situation.
