ISLAMABAD: Kaneez Fatima, from Lahore, along with her husband is struggling for the past two years to make ends meet for the family of five.
Talking to M.M News, Kaneez Fatima informed that she lives in a one-room rental flat with her family of 5. She has 3 children, two daughters and a son. With three children to care for, Kaneez Fatima and her husband are struggling with their children’s daily expenses.
In this regard, the deprived woman had rented a fruit cart and sells fruits on the busy streets of Islamabad’s F-11 sector, while her husband work as a cook in a house, as he had not received salaries from their employers after the lockdown was announced.
“We used to sell ‘Daal Chawal’ but due to the ongoing coronavirus our business was closed,” she said, adding, “I set up a fruit stall to help my husband to make our ends meet.”
She further said that she earns up to five hundred rupees by working all day, which is not enough to meet her expenses. The deprived woman has appealed to the government of Pakistan to support her family under the Ehsaas programme.
