ISLAMABAD: Residents of Islamabad’s Sector G-13 are deprived of basic amenities including water due to the alleged negligence of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA).
According to the details, the residents of the area are dissatisfied with the services of the authority. The residents have informed that they are paying bills monthly despite facing water scarcity.
Residents said that the top FGEHA officials are involved in alleged corruption and have no interest in providing basic services and are fooling them in the name of new projects.
The residents are forced to buy water from the private tankers, paying Rs3,000 per tanker. They further informed that the Housing Authority supplies water to almost 15 streets of G-13 for only 2 hours once a week.
Several complaints were also lodged with the Foundation’s Complaint Center Punjab however no action has been taken yet. The residents have appealed to the concerned authorities to provide the basic facility, water.
“New projects including New Pakistan and construction of lifestyle apartments should be stopped till the housing authority complete it’s the old projects,” they demanded.
