LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan has expressed disappointment that the opposition does not want to see Usman Buzdar as Punjab Chief Minister.
Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said that it has been two years since Usman Buzdar is serving as Punjab Chief Minister. “We respect all institutions and the federation does not interfere in the affairs of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB),” Chohan said.
Talking about the appearance of Punjab Chief Minister in NAB, he said that Buzdar had submitted his reply in the case yesterday. “He is neither guilty in the alcohol case nor will be a servant and will not be arrested, Chohan maintained.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday sought details of salary, movable and immovable properties, sources of income, and utility bills from Buzdar in the liquor license case.
The details of private foreign trips were sought from the Punjab chief minister, while details of inherited property were also sought. Buzdar was also asked about details regarding gas, electricity, telephone and mobile phone bills, and the number of employees he has.
