LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has urged people to strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during Muharram to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The chief minister said that the government will make the possible arrangement for 9th and 10th Muharram. “However, people must strictly follow corona SOPs during the holy month,” he maintained.
Usman Buzdar Punjab further stated that the government is also considering taking the services of Army and Rangers during Muharram.
Usman Buzdar paid tribute to all those who served during coronavirus pandemic and said that the government has overcome the challenge of coronavirus and now almost all activities have returned to normal level in the province.

The chief minister also criticized the politics of the opposition and said that the government’s opponents are hatching conspiracies because they are against development.
The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has also issued a warning for the re-emergence of coronavirus cases in Muharram.
A meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar in which a briefing was given on the steps taken to ensure the health of the people during Muharram.
Asad Umar said that various sectors including tourism have been opened but in spite of this implementation of trace track and test policy is necessary.
