ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the process of mediation between Iran and Saudi Arabia has not stopped.
In an interview with the international media which is due to be broadcast tomorrow, the prime minister said that the process of mediation between Iran and Saudi Arabia has definitely slowed down but the process of mediation is continuing.
“We are all working for peace and Pakistan has tried to stop the confrontation between Iran and Saudi Arabia,” PM Imran Khan said.
The prime minister said that Pakistan has played an important role in defusing tensions between arch-foes Saudi Arabia and Iran.

PM Imran Khan’s mediation efforts came at a time when the interests of the oil industry in the Persian Gulf region were under attack, which the United States blamed on Iran.
Moreover, the prime minister discussed his country’s long-standing dispute with India and said that Indian premier Narendra Modi of undermining the South Asian giant’s legacy of secularism. “What India’s Muslims are facing resembles what happened during the extermination of Jews in Nazi Germany,” he said.
