LAHORE: The opposition leaders are having back to back meetings in a bid to decide the strategy to launch a movement against the PTI-led federal government after Eid ul Adha and finalise the agenda for the upcoming All Parties Conference (APC).
According to details, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari first met JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman and alter went to meet PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif at his Model Town residence.
Talking to journalists, Bilawal Bhutto said, “Whatever we talked about today, its results will begin to appear after Eid-ul-Adha.”
He also confirmed the APC, scheduled after Eid-ul-Azha. He further informed that a decision regarding mid-term election through the platform.
On the occasion, Fazlur Rehman said that the common man’s mandate was stolen in 2018 polls. “We want that back,” he added. JUI-F chief further said that the federal government’s steps have raised questions about the survival of the state.
Earlier on Monday, the JUI-F chief had visited the PML-N leader at his Model Town residence. Matters pertaining to the country’s political situation and anti-government movement were discussed during the meeting.
