RAWALPINDI: Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Andreas Ferrarese called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa today (Thursday) in Rawalpindi.
According to details, matters pertaining to mutual interest, regional security were discussed during the meeting. Both personalities also discussed measures to enhance bilateral cooperation.
On the occasion, Chief of Army Staff offers all possible assistance to the Italian Envoy in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The Italian Ambassador acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s medical assistance and efforts for peace and order in the region.
Earlier on June 9, COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa had fulfilled the desire of a 15-year-old boy, fighting cancer disease for the past year.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 15-year-old boy cancer patient, Ali Raza, expressed his desire to meet COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa and join Pakistan Army.
In this regard, COAS Qamar Bajwa interacted with the 15-year-old boy cancer patient via video link. The interaction was arranged at Corps Commander Headquarters Karachi, the military’s media wing informed.
