KARACHI: US blogger Cynthia D. Ritchie’s allegation against Pakistani politicians likely to tarnish the country’s image.
According to relevant sources, Cynthia Ritchie is involved in anti-state activities. Sources further informed that the US blogger had also tried to spread false rumors about her links with military officers, however, ISPR has already denied any connection with her.
Sources also said that all foreign nationals have a responsibility to register with the police. It is also important to inform the nearest police about where the foreign national resides.
The relevant sources informed that Cynthia Ritchie never informs the police despite constantly changing her residence. The US blogger is also claiming to have various businesses in Pakistan. She has also didn’t disclose her source of income.
Despite the expiration of her visa, Cynthia Ritchie is still staying in Pakistan. Various authorities have demanded action against Cynthia Ritchie, else she could be detrimental to the national interest.
Cynthia Ritchie has accused several leaders of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) of allegedly sexually abusing her. The PPP leaders include former interior minister Rehman Malik, ex-prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and former federal minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin.
