PESHAWAR: Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information Ajmal Khan Wazir has confirmed 108 new coronavirus cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa taking the provincial tally to 2,907.
The provincial information advisor said on Saturday that 108 new infections were reported in the province. He said at least 11 people have died of COVID-19 during the last 24 hours in the province.
While talking to media, Ajmal Wazir said said that 728 patients have also recovered from the disease so far in KP. He said that the KP government was taking all-out steps to control the spread of the novel COVID-19.
Ajmal Wazir further said “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan is himself monitoring the coronavirus situation in the province.” All facilities are available at quarantine centers for COVID-19 patients, he added.
The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan have surged past 18,822 after new cases reported from different areas of the country.
According to the national dashboard, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 18, 822 and almost 432 people died. So far, while 4,315 patients recovered from the virus and 153 were still critical.
As many as 12,940 patients were still under treatment in the hospitals and quarantine facilities in country. The country had conducted 182,131 COVID-19 tests including 7,971 tests in last 24 hours.
