LAHORE: Former cricketer Younis Khan has backed cricket commentator Shoaib Akhtar as he accused Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of being incompetent.
Younis Khan took to Twitter and lauded Akhtar for a befitting reply. “What a befitting and bitter truth spoken by Shoaib Akhtar! It takes a backbone to be simply uncompromisingly forthright. Time for the PCB to honestly evaluate his remarks for the betterment of Pakistan Cricket and its players. I stand by with Shoaib Akhtar.”

Earlier, Akhtar, on his Youtube Channel lashed out at the PCB after Umar Akmal was banned for three years from all forms of cricket over not informing the PCB about the match-fixing offer.
He accused PCB legal advisor Taffazul Rizvi of taking the benefits of contacts to advance in his career. To this, the PCB expressed its disappointment over his criticism against the board and its legal adviser.
“The language, used by Shoaib Akhtar, was highly inappropriate and disrespectful, and cannot be condoned in any civilized society,” said a spokesman for the PCB.
