ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that India is trying to push Pakistan in Financial Action Task Force’s blacklist. India is working on an agenda of monetarily drying Pakistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said to Al Jazeera in an interview on Saturday that since assuming his position as a leader of the Government, he tried his best to initiate dialogue with India. He has wished for nothing but to sort out all the differences including Indian occupied Kashmir.
Whereas, New Delhi seemed interested in bankrupting Pakistan. Narendra Modi’s government is trying to push Pakistan into a disaster, said Khan. He added that there is no point in negotiating a deal with India, as India has already revoked Article 370.
PM Khan also stated in the interview that repealing Article 370 is against the United Nation’s resolution. And it is also a gross violation of Human rights. Adding, UN resolution clearly instructs for a referendum in the Valley.
Prime Minister said in the Interview that his intentions of the dialogue were misread, India took his peace gesture as a weakness. He stated that both of the countries are facing the same issues, but, instead of working on them India is creating more problems in the region.
Kashmiris are living under siege for almost six weeks now. And India has stonewalled every offer of mediation by friendly countries. PM Khan thanked the United States for its offer to mediate in the Kashmir issue. He added that only third mediation can bring peace in the Valley.
On the other hand, he said during the interview that after the completion of term Pakistan will become economically stable. The interviewer inquired about the monetary package, to which he said that it would be the last package for the country.
