KARACHI: Coronavirus has claimed another life in the metropolis city – Karachi – today (Tuesday), taking the provincial death toll to seven.
In this regard, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho said that the patient was a 70-year-old man and was admitted to hospital last night, adding that the patient had other diseases also.
Sindh Health Department has also confirmed 61 new cases of coronavirus today (Tuesday) in the province. The department further said that so far 294 coronavirus cases have been tested positive in Karachi with 45 new cases.
The health department also informed that out of 627 cases 41 patients have fully recovered and discharged from the hospitals, adding that Sindh has conducted a total of 5,945 tests.
Earlier on Monday, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho confirmed three more deaths from coronavirus in the metropolis city.
She said, “The 63-year-old patient was a resident of Karachi & was diagnosed 2 days ago. The patient had a history of ARDS [Acute respiratory distress syndrome] & had returned from Saudi Arabia 10 days ago. The other two patients were 52 and 66 years old and had been diagnosed with COVID-19 three days ago.”
