ISLAMABAD: Peshawar Zalmi Chairman, Javed Afridi has announced today (Tuesday) to donate Rs 10 million for Prime Minister’s corona relief fund.
Javed Afridi took to Twitter and said, “On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi foundation, I announce to donate Rs 10 million to Corona Relief fund, set up by Prime Minister Imran Khan.”
The Peshawar Zalmi chairman hoped that every Pakistani would be able to play his role in the ongoing difficult situation. He also urged the people of Pakistan to donate some of their money to Corona Relief Fund.
Javed Afridi further urged the people of Pakistan to take safety precautions and to stay at home in order to halt the spread of coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi foundation has also started an awareness campaign regarding coronavirus, as several Zalmi star cricketers released special videos to educate the masses.
The awareness campaign started by Javed Afridi was being done in languages including English, Urdu, Pashto, and Sindhi from all the Zalmo platforms.
Coronavirus has claimed lives of almost 25 people across the country and has affected more than 1,850 people. Sindh and Punjab remained the worst affected provinces of the country.
