ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has thanked China for its assistance to Pakistan in fighting the coronavirus crisis.
In a letter written to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated him on successfully defeating coronavirus in his country.
Shehbaz Sharif further wrote that not only did China help Pakistan by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, but the medical and technical support provided by China was also of immense help.
The PML-N president also stated that assistance from China would lead to countless lives being saved and Pakistan overcoming the pandemic.
Referring to Pakistan-China friendship, he said that people of Pakistan were proud of the friendship as it has always come good at the hour of need, he added.
Earlier today, Shehbaz Sharif said that the growing number of the coronavirus patients in Punjab was alarming and in this situation, efficient steps would be taken to tackle the alarming situation of the province.
He further said that if the situation would not be handled then we would be at risk of the irreversible harm. We could fight and win this war together united, he added.
