ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said under the influence of new westerly waves, rains are expected from Saturday in most parts of the country.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department report, most parts of the country, including Karachi expected to receive heavy rain under the influence of the fresh westerly weather systems from Iran.
The weather department has said slightly above normal rainfall in most parts of Punjab will be expected on Friday night. The rain or thunderstorm is likely during the 20th and 21st of March with a probability of hailstorms and gusty winds at isolated in plain areas of Punjab.
Pakistan Meteorological Department’s report stated hailstorms are also expected in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Potohar area. Sindh is also expected to get above normal rainfall, while hotness expected to remain near normal in upper Sindh.
Karachi is expected to get rain from March 23. PMD forecasted that a new system of winds will enter the country from the west on 20th March.
However, the metropolis’ temperature will persist to increase and maximum temperature in the metropolis will remain 36 degrees Celsius today and will be the same till the next three days.
